Avon and Tarrant put on their fancy dress disguises and go to meet King Cheblakon.



Meanwhile, Soolin and Vila are exploring the Zocalo and are upset when they see Wempin being tortured, so they help him escape.




When Servalan and Vledka show King Cheblakon a picture of Avon and Tarrant,
he realises, to his amusement, that they were the two with whom he’d just been talking.



As Servalan and Vledka torture Tarrant, Dayna teleports him out just in time.




Soolin pretends to faint to distract everyone while Vila (bottom right) steals the diadem.




Vila, though, gets caught and Servalan and Vledka take him to King Cheblakon,
where he is told he is to be hung.



Avon tells everyone his cunning plan to get the diadem and rescue Vila.



Tarrant cleverly disguises himself as the hangman and rescues Vila.



Meanwhile, Avon and Soolin steal the diadem from King Cheblakon and Servalan.



But it is not Vila’s lucky day as he is recaptured by
Servalan and King Cheblakon after the teleport fails again.
