The first tieyeyeyeyeyeyme..... ever I saw your face.....

Well actually, seeing you is no guarantee the Great Lord Avon will speak to you.

Here for the record are the first and last conversations Avon has with all the main characters. Sometimes they talk at one another a little after this - but I've taken where they are both engaged in dialogue as conversation.

First - Space Fall

J: What have you got there?

A: Nothing

Last - Star One

J: Why, Avon?

A: Why not

First - Space Fall

A: (regarding door systems) It's simple enough. All authorised personnel have their palm prints filed in the computer. The blue sensor plate reads the print. If it confirms, the computer opens the door.

B: Neat

A: Most computer based functions are.

Last - Blake

B: Tarrant doesn't understand

A: Neither do I, Blake

B: I set all this up

A: Yes!

B: Avon, I was waiting for you. Avon....

First - Space Fall

V: I've heard a rumour that these prison ships don't actually go all the way to Cygnus. They wait until they're in deep space, and then quietly dump you out of an airlock.

A: You're a fool.

Last - Blake

V: Sooner or later we're going to drop into one of these holes in the ground and never come out

A: Sooner or later, everyone does that, Vila

First - Cygnus Alpha

A: You're a computer

Z: That is correct, Kerr Avon

Last - Terminal

A: Acknowledge receipt of signal and stand by for message

Z: Confirmed

First - Time Squad

G: I think we make a good team

A: Well hooray for us

Last - Pressure point

A: (on locked door) It's no good.

G: Let me try again.

First - Time Squad

A: I've had a gun on you the whole time. You were dead as soon as you broke cover.... How do you come to be telepathic?

C: I am from the planet Auron

Last - Terminal

C: If you want one of your own cold, rational explanations, we can't afford to lose you.

A: Sentiment breeds weakness. Let it get a hold of you and you are dead.

First - Orac

T: (shot) 'AAH! AAAAH!'

A: Don't move.

Last - Star One

A: I hope these people will really do as you tell them Travis.

T: They will.

A: Don't move.

First - Orac

O: Surely it is obvious even to the meanest intelligence that during my development I would naturally become endowed with aspects of my creators personality?

A: The more endearing aspects by the sound of it.

O: Possibley.

Last - Blake

A: Just tell us what you're offering, Orac

O: When we reach the appropriate co-ordinates I can simulate the neccessary signals to open the silo and allow this flyer to enter

First - Weapon

S: (to Blake) If you want to throw away your only chance.

A: What chance?

S: The chance to run.

Last - Gold

A: That was very good bait, the black gold.

S: I knew you'd like it.

A: But I shouldn't imagine it's much use to you now. You'll just have to confess and pay up.

First - Aftermath

D: Are you feeling better?

A: Not really, but at least I'm still alive.

Last - Blake

D: The other flyer? What other flyer Avon?

A: Our guide. Come on, we don't want to lose him.

First - Aftermath/ Powerplay

T: Summary execution is the usual punishment for boarding a Federation ship. What are you doing on my ship?

A: Your ship?

Last - Blake

A: I'm so glad you made it.

T: So am I. Avon, I think he's here.

Tarrant's dying word is 'Avon.'

First - Rescue

A: (to Dorian) Where are the others?

S: There are no others.

or alternatively...

A: You give your allegiance very easily

A: I don't give my allegiance at all. I sell my skill.

Last - Blake

S: Now that is an unattractive idea. I really could be quite annoyed if I thought we'd been the bait in a trap you'd laid for them, Avon

A: I had no idea it was you. And it shouldn't have been.

First - Power

S: It is beyond my humble capacity to offer an opinion, master.

A: Oh that's very good. You may turn out to be my kind of computer after all.

Last - Blake

A: Slave, take over the flight controls

A: I am most humbley sorry master, but I can find no flight controls.

Avon's first word is 'Nothing'. His last word is 'Yes'.
