Please excuse the blatant plug - but :
With 100% of authors fees going to four very worthy charities - and with tongue planted firmly within cheek - we present :
BLAKES 7 - MAXIMUM POWER! - A complete episode guide, fascinating facts, tantalising titbits, revelatory revelations, radiation sickness, a rock-fall and a trip down a dank, dark series of tunnels riddled with traps and monsters.
Join us as we try to make sense of Terry Nation's unique grasp of mathematics (Hold up seven fingers, Terry …), hold our hand as we skip fecklessly through the fields of film adaptations, fasten your seatbelt as we trip embarrassingly on the top step of series cancellations and revivals, and desperately claw at the face of bloody good writing with the talons of missed opportunity.
Blake, Avon, Cally, Jenna, Orac, Zen, Pinder, Vila, Dayna, Tarrant, Slave, Soolin and the other one are all profiled in full. We even found time to pack sixteen magnificent glossy photo pages right into the middle of the book! May even chuck in an index too if we have time.
Preorder MAXIMUM POWER! and your name will be printed in the book as a thank-you.
All pre-orders will be slung into the hollowed-out head of a mutoid and three lucky names will be drawn to each win a gorgeous! replica Liberator teleport bracelet -
So if it tickles your fancy, please head over to Hirst Publishing http://www.hirstpublishing.com
Thank you!

Heh, looks interesting
I tried the search feature on their page a few times but it said there were zero results!
But then I clicked on the "Television" category in the menu on the left and this book was first on the list! ?
Here's a link to the specific page... oh, wait, no there isn't... Drat, the forum won't post the link to the actual page properly, I just tried it but it came up sorta addled.. It's too long an address I think... Anyway, as I say, I found it by clicking on "television" in the category list on the left
Hang on, just reading the blurb... since when is Pinder a member of the crew?! |

Poor Pindar never got a chance to be part of the crew - succumbing to a fatal dose of Hoffal's Radiation. Like most of the guest stars in S4 who seemed to have a very short life expectancy. |

I like the sound/tone of this book already . It's almost like taking the micky out of a certain B7 Programme Guide - but a little more obvious
Will It be just a paperback or hardback ? Either way, I'm gonna order a copy _________________ Wisdom must be gathered, it can not be given

And then he'll sell the book full price to some unsuspecting forum member at a regional meeting _________________ Wisdom must be gathered, it can not be given

From the Auton Facebook page :
"It is with deep regret and abject apologies that we have to announce that our book, MAXIMUM POWER! will no longer be happening.
We realise this is (potentially) a disappointment and more importantly a massive inconvenience to all those of you who kindly preordered and supported us and the chosen charities and would like to make it very clear that it is not a decision we have taken lightly.
Quite simply we feel that under current circumstances it is probably best for us to leave Hirst Books and move on to other things. There are issues which we see no reason to rake over publicly, needless to say we have very good reasons for doing what we're doing.
Please contact Hirst Publishing to arrange your refund: http://www.hirstpublishing.com/storepage384442.aspx
Alternatively Paypal should be able to reverse your transaction.
We are genuinely sorry and will make it up to each and every one of you somehow.'
The book WILL be going ahead, hopefully early in 2012 - I will keep everyone interested here up to date. |
