Thanks for the paragun images. I have just used them to make a CGI .OBJ file model of a paragun. But again, please, how long is the paragun in inches or centimeters (ignoring the sliding stock)?

Not including the stock, my gun is 29.5 cm, from the rear of the body to the front of the 'sight' above the muzzle.

How many sorts of handheld guns do the Federation use? From when I saw the television series here in England, I only remember paraguns.

KevinD recently made to very good federation pistols, which can be seen getting built on his "workbench" thread Yes Smiley

How do I upload an image on this forum?, or do I have to find my own housing for images?

You'll need to use the likes of Imageshack or Photobucket to upload an image, then you'll be able to post images on the forum. Hope that helps

The images are not stored within the forum like with Renderosity, then?

The image is at this link - temporarily, as my web space is limited. I use Poser for CGI art.

The bit that sticks out forward is not suitably placed to be a sight: I thought that it might be something like an electrode which is part of the ray-generating mechanism.

looks even better than the one I 'attempted' to make

I often wondered if that was something they added later to try and stop the 'charge' from firing upwards!

Have you considered doing other B7 guns/props? The Scorpio Clip gun would look just as good as a CGI Yes Smiley

Let's not forget, that yours fired explosive charges! (Well, it did for those who were prepared to load it, that was nearly the last photo I ever took!).

It is a Poser character, so its stock can be collapsed and its trigger moves.

In the story, did it have a holster, or how was it carried when its user needed his hands free?

Excuse my bad memory, but it is a long time since I saw the Blake's 7 series: I remember that the paragun made a characteristic noise, but did it make a visible ray?

The paragun model is at

Holster no, some had straps that went over the shoulder

Yep, the noise was like a dull thud followed by a large blast of smoke Kevin can tell you better, he was brave enough to stand in front of one when I set it off

That gun (which was nowhere near as bad as you describe!), must be getting on a bit now, like us

Yep, still in one piece - considering what it went through I dont consider it 'display worthy' - so its not in my case.
