Watched 'Mind Of Evil'. Some unusual special effects. Jo is good in it. A few incidents don't seem quite right though, as when the prison doctor talks to the prisoner near the end and then says something like "oh well I've got casulties to get back to" (after about twenty people have been shot in the ludicrous (for Doctor Who) storming of the prison scene). I'm sure that's one the Australians censored. _________________ Last Watched: Seek, Locate and Destroy 30th Sep 2020 |

Yes, I like that one. It's regarded as a bit of a classic - particularly as Mary Whitehouse complained about the drowning scene. |

IF you haven't already done so, what the Goodies episode where they send up Mrs Whitehouse with a character played by Beryl Reid called "Mrs Desiree Carthorse"! |

I think 'Frontier in Space' is one of the best stories of the Pertwee era. It's good to see him get away from 20th Century Earth and UNIT. |

New Doctor Who has a lot to answer for.
I got my son Pyramids of Mars (after lots of research) to introduce him to pre RTD Doctor Who. He only watched about 2 episodes then lost interest.
It was too slow and talky for him, compared to the DW that he is used to. Hopefully he'll have another go at it and appreciate it for its own merits. |

The Green Death eps. 1+2 so far. Wind Power, Wave Power, food from mushrooms - pretty accurate predictions Professor! _________________ Last Watched: Seek, Locate and Destroy 30th Sep 2020 |

Get him The Three Doctors - that's quite fast paced. As a general rule I'd say stick to the 4 parters - which admittedly is what you did. |

Thanks for the tip Richard.
Perhaps I'll get my son The Three Doctors. Anyway I can always watch the DVDs he doesn't like! |
