Pushed on with series 4 : 'The Sontaran Stratagem', 'The Poison Sky'
Look out for the Doctor saying “Sontaran Ha!”
and last night 'The Doctors Daughter' and 'The Unicorn and the Wasp'.
Donna and Martha were bullying the Doctor a bit in 'The Doctors Daughter' and he didn't seem to know what needed done. Appeared a bit indecisive. Some of the earlier Doctors wouldn't have put up with that!
In 'The Unicorn and the Wasp' I never noticed the possible sarcasim before when the Doctor tells Agatha Christie she's good (when she spots 'no ring' and that Donna and him aren't married!). Also, he reminded me of Tom Baker's fooling about when he nearly got poisoned and plays 'charades', but David Tennant's Doctor fools about in more dangerous situations than Tom Baker's Doctor did. Do you agree? |

In what way? Please elaborate. I think this is a very good story which has stood the test of time well. |

Yes, they do seem to finish rather quickly. They make a lot of assumptions particularly the way the Russians apparrently co-operate without much of a fuss. |

Yes. Ambassadors of Death is a bit like that. 5 episodes of rushing around chasing their tales then in the final episode it all comes together oh so quickly. I think that story could have been compressed to a 4 parter. |

Found the 'Bidding Adieu' video in a music exchange shop. Sylvester McCoy's diary, shot in Canada, about handing over in The Movie. I like how Sylvester is so relaxed and speaking his mind. If you are interested, most of it is on youtube. _________________ Last Watched: Seek, Locate and Destroy 30th Sep 2020 |
