Does it matter? Would however is on the ticket beat the Republicans anyway?
And who should be the running mate? |

That's just because Roj didn't list Barrack Obama or Joe Biden. _________________ "Blak" sheep of the B7 forum family! |

I picked other - I like Bill Richardson (Governor of New Mexico) as president with Barak Obama (Freshman Senator from Illinois) as his running mate.
Richardson was former energy secretary under Clinton. He's a moderate and he has the hispanic vote, which can take a few of the big states, i.e. Texas and California.
Obama is probably too green, but there's something I really like about him - he's got a charisma that will make him very electable.
I think both want to pull out of Iraq as well, which is going to be the big issue in 08.
On the Republican side, I would be intersted to see if Rudy will run. He's actually pro Gay Marriage, pro-choice, and a moderate on economic and foreign policy. I personally think his party will turn on him because he's not conservative enough, but if he wins the nomination, I'm going to have a hard time deciding. |

There's no one on the republican side that I would even consider voting for, especially after the past 6 years. I've only started voting democrat in 2002. Most of my life I've voted 3rd party.
However, if the democrats do well over the next 2 years, they could nominate a houseplant for president and it would do well. _________________ "Blak" sheep of the B7 forum family! |

I actually vote republican locally. Our republican county counsellor went to bat for my subdivision when a company wanted to blast less than a football field away from my house. They didn't get the permit. We still have a solid foundation and rising property values. His democratic challenger stole water from his neighbor to fill his swimming pool. Who would you vote for?
I think the last 6 years finally showed the neo-conservatives for the hypocrites they really are. I think whoever runs in 08 for the republicans will be worth a look at - but realistically, I don't see myself voting republican nationally, or even statewide anytime soon.
Green Party seems very interesting and I want to learn more about it. However, I don't see it being a viable party. Sad. |

The only time I've ever voted republican was in 1990 for MA governor for William Weld against John Silber and I've regretted it ever since. It was the beggining of 16 years of do-nothing one term repub governors who used the MA governorship as a stepping stone while not giving one damn about this state and what it stands for. Romney was the icing on the cake. He actively toured The US trashing MA wherever he went.
Under these circumstances, perhaps you'll understand why I'm a bit one-sided in my voting habits. I've not been given any reason to be otherwise. _________________ "Blak" sheep of the B7 forum family! |

You come from a state (commonwealth, sorry) with a very interesting political history to begin with. I'm suprised you all aren't in therapy.
Hope you had a happy Thanksgiving. We ate way too much. |
