Thanks for the info. Didn't know it was a clickable link. Yes I have only seen the original series one and a few episodes of series 2. This is a work in progress! But I just love it. Terry Nation was such a fab writer! |

I think Season 1 is probably the best season, in that it most consistently delivers good episodes, but seasons 2 and 3 have some great episodes as well
Terry Nation disagreed with the BBC about the direction of the show apparently, and wasn't involved with it after Season 1... He did put his ideas into one of the Survivors novels tho, but I haven't read it... It's a shame it turned out like that coz I think there were one or two things introduced in the first season that could have gone on to be interesting story arcs, but once Terry had left they just got relegated to things being mentioned in passing by other characters...
Mind you, I think the 3 seasons as they turned out have an overall arc that makes sense... um... that I won't go into too much coz it might be spoilerish... |

Thanks all! Blake's is something very special to me and to revisit it every few years is really a treat.
As a matter of fact, I feel a marathon coming on... |

Hi, all! I just started posting on Horizon for the first time today and then checked my email and saw my membership to this site was approved.
I've recently come to Blake's 7, having learned about the show from seeing the audio story offerings at Big Finish. Hard to get a way to watch it in the US, but I did, finally and was hooked by the second episode. I looked for places to discuss the show after watching the last episode of series 4 several nights ago - you can just imagine how I felt after that, I'm sure! - and applied to join this forum.
I've been a longtime fan of scifi and am especially into Doctor Who and Firefly. Also a Sherlock fan. Currently re-watching classic Star Trek.
That's about it, for now. |
