One of my favourite episodes because it sums up so much of what the show is about. You have information about the resistance movement, you have the main two bad guys - Servalan and Travis - you see the range of Federation technology from the clunky guard robot to the modern Avalon robot, you see how ruthless the Federation is with the massacre, you see mutoids. It is, I believe, the perfect episode for introducing someone to Blake's 7. _________________ --

Yes, it is an interesting episode. I wish we could have seen Avalon again in a later episode.
I'm wondering wasn't there one other episode where such a guard robot was seen on the job.
May I ask, the forum crashed so how do you have 189 posts ? It took me years to build up to more than 350 posts so I find this interesting. |

I think you probably mean Seek-Locate-Destroy when Blake and Vila first teleport down to the planet. _________________

My only gripe with this one was that Avalon seems a little young to be leading a resistance movement, but it's a pity we didn't see more of her. |

We actually saw quite a lot of her in one scene, but I suppose that is not what you meant _________________ --

This is one reason we could use more on her. Perhaps Avalon started out at the side of an older resistance movement leader -- e.g. Kasabi's daughter at the side of her mighty mother, Kasabi-- and both earned and assumed an authority ? |

Yes, but as has been said thousands of times before, what a waste of a character, it would have been great to see her join the crew full time. |
