This is my personal favourite episode.
Just thought I'd say that! _________________ "What would you know about guilt?"

It's a good episode.
The 'best episode' polls are still open for voting (on about page 4 of the Polls section)!

True, but I honestly thought it would be closer between Rescue and Blake.
The last three episodes are memorable to me for the very different human traits which surface quite unexpectedly in them; self-interest in Orbit, remorse in Warlord and misunderstanding/panic in Blake. _________________ Last Watched: Seek, Locate and Destroy 30th Sep 2020 |

Watching this again I now appreciate the writer giving Vila his ironic early remark about 'sticking with you, Avon'. Avon hunting Vila is so unpredictable (as when Gan and Cally suddenly die) and that's one thing I really like about Blakes 7.

But what worries me is Avon's reaction to the decisions he makes. It seems to me that the way he coldly writes off Plaxton by saying "Who?" means he either hasn't got a conscience, or he isn't going to listen to it. Although I could just about believe that he's so firm in the belief there was nothing that could be done to save her that he feels no guilt about it... but then in the later episode "Orbit", there's something a bit "cracked" about the way he calls "Vilaaa...." |
yes... brilliant tv though. apparently the "who?" line was the actor's input and caused a measure of controversy. peter davison thought he should have said "dr who?" heh. |
If Paul did add "who?" at the end (of the episode Stardrive) then it explains why I've always felt it would have been more dramatic without it - sorry Paul! _________________ Last Watched: Seek, Locate and Destroy 30th Sep 2020 |
