Vote, it's just for fun!
(I decided not to include Richard Hurndall or Peter Cushing.) _________________ Last Watched: Seek, Locate and Destroy 30th Sep 2020 |

Think I'd have to opt for Christopher Eccleston myself I've seen every DW since its revival, and never missed an episode since; the same couldnt be said of the earlier series though _________________ Wisdom must be gathered, it can not be given

Very excited to see Tom with 33% of the vote, then saw only 3 votes cast in total so far.
As a social scientist I cannot call this significant.....yet. |

As do I, insofar I've got two more McCoy Dvd's more than any other earlier DW! - I cant count " The Trial of a Timelord" _________________ Wisdom must be gathered, it can not be given

I voted for Matt, but my real vote is for 4 of them - Matt, David, Colin and Peter, so I wish I could have had more than one tick of the box _________________

I voted for Matt Smith, although it's a very close run thing between him and Tom Baker, to my mind...
I think Matt Smith is brilliant tho, he gets just the right balance of a character who is benign yet mysterious, alien but also human (or humane?), has a head full of intellectual fireworks constantly going off, an enthusiastic scientist with a childlike sense of awe and wonder, and is rather eccentrically likeable and British in a classic sort of way, what?
I guess a lot of those character traits fit the Doctor generally, but I think Matt Smith really weaves them together perfectly |

had to go for Tom...still my fav...although i agree with futs about matt smith...he has an alienness thats quite effective and david tennant had a deep rooted sadness that made him very appealing...and then there is jon pertwee....love his dr... |

I was encouraged by the apparent Tom Baker landslide which I just contributed to, then I noticed that the landslide consists of four votes...
Tom first, followed closely by Pertwee. Tennant would be a very good Doctor in a real, science-fiction-oriented Dr Who. This revival series, though, gets farther and farther away from that every year. |

Patrick Troughton is very good. He can be serious, dramatic or comical or sometimes just a bit frightened when he doesn't hang about! |
