"Wherever humans go, rats go too" That's a quotation from 'Weapon', although you don't actually see any rats.

What a shame the Liberator was too high-tech to have a ship's cat! However, I would imagine Federation vessels like the London probably had a moggie on board to keep the rodent population under control

Although it does appear that those rats were clearly domesticated. Notice how they don't even flinch when Coser and Rachel stomp in. Wild rats would have scarpered so fast that, on film, it would have looked disturbing!

Yup Zen, you're right about the rats. Funny how I forgot them.

All we hear from people involved in making B7 is how small the budget was. And yet they decided to spend some of it on TRAINED SHOWBIZ RATS. So that's 20 or 30 quid that didn't get spent on making the huge monster's claw look more realistic...

They probably got paid more than the actors, from what I've heard about the 1970s BBC

I think it was Gareth Thomas who told the story that at the first cast party to celebrate starting the show, each actor was only allowed a glass of wine, one small piece of cheese and one crisp... Which all arrived on a trolley which had the bottle opener CHAINED to it in case someone nicked it
