Ah you've got me there as in practice all the camp bits couldn't fit in a campervan or even a small country. |

The same actress, Sylvia Coleridge, appears in a third season episode of Survivors where she does an excellent turn as a woman who has lost her false teeth and is having to use someone else's that don't fit properly
By the way, she must have been about 70 years old when she appeared in Gambit!

I love Servalan more than usual in Gambit. It makes her appearnce in all other episodes look a bit like Dress Down Friday. And that takes some doing. |

While opinion seems divided in the previous discussion, at last this episode is a good continuation of the search for Star One plus there is Docholli's reference to 30 people who would like to kill him - presumably the 30 people he mind-wiped (but if they are mind wiped - why didn't Docholli wipe the fact that it was he who did the mindwiping. This is very very strange).
Servelan's exposition just doesn't make any sense. As others have pointed out it sounds like a few lines got left out of the final edit. It seems like it only works if Travis gets killed by Krantors men before he reaches Docholli. Then Krantor would get the location of Star One out of Docholli. In which case Servelan would be supported by the Federation in killing Krantor and she could find the location of Star One. But this relies on Travis getting killed and surely she knows Travis well enough to know that might be unlikely. If Travis kills Krantor's men and finds Docholli, there is no bomb so both Travis and Docholli survive and then Travis knows the location of Star One. And Servelan gets nothing. Which is what happened. Her explanation of winning no matter what is just plain wrong.
Are we supposed to think that Travis was responsible for damaging the Bari in order to get close to/flush out Docholli? He is pretty single minded so this might be true. Otherwise it relies too much on coincidence that they are on the same ship and a disaster just happens at the right time to bring them together.
Servelan's payment to Krantor is just too small an amount. She offers two million credits, but he makes four million a week at the casino. Are two days profits enough to get him to plot with the likes of Servelan. It seems very unlikely.
Why is Avon allowed to keep his gun at the casino? If were Krantor no way would I allow my guests to be heavily armed.
Orac's shrinking was not useful because the communication is done to Vila by communication bracelet. They could just have left Orac on the Liberator and it would have changed nothing.
Lastly, Servelan calls Blake a "political criminal" so it seems like the federation has dropped the pretense of Blake's trial. Or is it that since his trial he has committed so many political/terrorist acts (see Trooper Pouthmieces reports ) that he can be referred to in this way? |
