As I go through half dozen episodes, one thing that struck me straight away was the bridge of the Liberator looks really cool. & actually the whole look of the show. Outfits are certainly better than Space 1999 ones, ( Avon looks like he could play bass with Black Sabbath in his black suit with studded shoulders). & again, the bridge looks cooler than most I can think of.

A subjective thing I know, but offhand only Klingon ships seem competitive to the Liberators bridge look.

TNG's bridge had three chairs all in a row with Picards in the middle. TOS had the Captain's chair centered, & Enterprise had the lamest chairs of all the different series. TOS the better of the 3.

Scroll to bottom, some Klingon bridges there.

Yeah, the Liberator flight deck is great

When Jenna sees it for the first time and gasps "beautiful!", that could so easily have been a cringeworthy bad special effects moment

But instead they really pulled it off with the set design

Two things always struck me on watching the series initially, one was the 1st ever sighting of the Liberator, and the other was the actual flight deck layout which looked just as futuristic and never lost its appeal. Maybe thats why I always preffered Zen

Back in the earlier 80#s my brother Derek replaced a worn front seat for his Renault 12 with one he got from a scrapyard, but it looked a bit like one from the Liberator flight deck.

The cast have said on many occasions that those Control seat Postions were very uncomfortable I always liked the look of those flight control postions, so much so, that I built a full size one once Not that stupid anymore

Well that's pretty cool Zen. Send us a shot if you can. Love to see it.

I suppose Space 1999 didn't exactly have a bridge so to speak, more a command/control center. If it counted as such, I'd vote it as palid-est. Or least colorful-imaginative.
