It was so warm that we ate outside. I think this is the first time I've ever done that on Thanksgiving. It's usually very cold and sometimes it snows.
Hmmm, maybe it's global warming. I need to get Al Gore's documentary. |

I don't see Guliani as a viable repub candidate for two reasons, his association with disgraced ex-cop Bernie Kerik and the ultra-right will never accept him because he isn't totally bats**t crazy. Also, my NYC friends detest him for turning NYC into Disneyland. _________________ "Blak" sheep of the B7 forum family! |

That is what I mean. |
I think Colin Powell had a good chance until his credibility was ruined. He would have captured votes from the Right and Left.
For 2008 I'd have to go with Hillary and hopefully Bill as her running mate.If it comes down to Hillary vs. Rudy,I'm curious as to which one would take New York. _________________ "Women, food, and inflicting pain -- in no particular order."

As much as I dislike GWB, I do like the American sytem where a President is only allowed to serve two terms.
Its a real pity we can't get rid of our PM in Australia in the same way. |

I'm not sure I'm that crazy about it. If we like someone, let's keep him
or her, right? (ignoring likelihood voting is fixed) I think they get the
feel of it the first term, then fart about the last because, hey, they are
leaving anyway, might as well push for what they want personally, etc.,
what's to be lost? ya know _________________ LOOK, IT'S BEEN SWELL, BUT THE SWELLING'S GONE DOWN. |

Barrack Obama and Hilary Clinton are now in the race. With Hilary the clear front runner at the moment. Way to early to put any money on any person right now but unless something happens it should be one of these two. If Kerry and or Gore enters I wonder how they would change things.
What is the likely hood of a Clinton/Obama ticket? Could be interesting to have the first women president/vice president or first black president/vice president depending on which way the ticket was called. Me? not sure who yet so long as a Democrat wins that would do me. |

Feh, my candidate is Dennis Kucinich until after the MA primary, then I'll hold my nose and vote for whomever the dems end up running. It's still way too early. _________________ "Blak" sheep of the B7 forum family! |

It would be interesting indeed to have the first woman president
with all the experience she has had being in the White House for 8 years
and telling Bill what to do or should we say what not to do!
But only time will tell too early in the race yet... _________________ Jenna2..

Obama for President
He voted against Iraq occupation Hillary voted for it
Obama was not stupid nor easily led by the Republican's lies...
Obama will get the black American vote Hillary had hoped for
because Bill Clinton is a favourite with black American voters
and Hillary was hoping to capitalise on that black voting block
especially in South Carolina.
Obama is bi-racial his mother is white so he will be able to seal
the white vote as well...He has a good chance of becoming the
next President...If he chooses a strong Vice Presidential running
mate will be a winning combo for sure...He has my vote!

I picked other - I like Bill Richardson (Governor of New Mexico) as president with Barak Obama (Freshman Senator from Illinois) as his running mate.
Richardson was former energy secretary under Clinton. He's a moderate and he has the hispanic vote, which can take a few of the big states, i.e. Texas and California.
Obama is probably too green, but there's something I really like about him - he's got a charisma that will make him very electable.
I think both want to pull out of Iraq as well, which is going to be the big issue in 08.
On the Republican side, I would be intersted to see if Rudy will run. He's actually pro Gay Marriage, pro-choice, and a moderate on economic and foreign policy. I personally think his party will turn on him because he's not conservative enough, but if he wins the nomination, I'm going to have a hard time deciding. |
Guiliani is someone who would turn this country into a Police State.
He never reined in NYPD at it's most brutal when he was in charge
of New York City and the NYPD declared open warfare on minorities.
He will condone every thing the Military does if he is elected.
I would never vote for him!
Who would be the first lady his newest wife or mistress?
Rudy is a player as was Bill Clinton and we all know how that turned out.
