And when has that ever been a new thing in Sci fi, most films, series and storylines trace their lineage and subsequent plot / character theft back to the progenitors such as Lost in Space, B7, Forbidden Planet etc.
The thing that makes me think she'll never assimalate the universe would be all that crazy technohair, I mean where would she find a comb for that?
