It's simply the best! Better than all the rest! My favorite is Project Avalon!

You know what - I'm going to have to watch these again from the beginning. Been a while I'm ashamed to say.

I haven't watched them properly for a long long time. I can still remember all the episodes and I still love them, but episode titles matching with plots has gone a bit fuzzy. It's all a backlash from the 80s I'm afraid. B7 was the first fandom I ever got that involved with and it was like an injury when all the problems started up. Injuries are healing now I think.

I know that feeling only too well Yes Smiley It took me a while to bother with b7 fandom again, just in case the same 'in-fighting' was still ongoing. thankfully, it appears to have died-out!

Well, you're come to the right B7 site to continue that healing process Yes Smiley

I started watching first season last night.....but fell asleep Nothing to do with the series (actually it was a compliment to the series, I can only sleep through things I really don't want to sleep through..... )

You know what, for the day, its a very tight series. Probs and stuff were a bit iffy (some where, not all of them) but given the budget, god it was good

I've come back to S1 after a long absence as my DVDs had been "out visiting'. I used to watrch the eps very regularly (1 ep most nights then back through the series again - round and round). I must say that coming back to the show, I've been somewhat disapponited.

Perhaps S1, of all the seasons takes itself far too seriously so that the kitcsh naffness that comes through seems like an abberation or mistake, thus making the viewer cringe that little bit. Whereas in seasons 2-4, the kitcsh naffness is thoroughly entrenched - as it should be! - thus it is less cringeworthy and more celebratory. Perhaps I should watch Harvest again a few tiomes in a row to get myself back into the swing of things.

Now, from memory as I said I slept through it this time, I've always been inspired by first season, bright and shiney amibtion to fight against the dark forces of the federation, free the people and all that.

It was actually first season that really inspired SheReb, all that indealism and soap boxes to the fore kind of thing.

I remember a few years back when I was trying to get a friend interested in B7 I suggested they start with 'Cygnus Alpha' as the first two episodes are a bit slow and the flashback sequences in 'Cygnus Alpha' where Captain Laylan is recording what happened helps to get the newbie up to speed.

Yeah I know what you mean, there have been a few series I've recommended to people where I tell them NOT to start with the first episode.

The funny thing is for me with Blakes 7 it was the first episode that got me hooked. And Avon hadn't even shown up in that!
