It sounds a bit daft but if Paul were still playing Avon I would watch and hope to enjoy.

But, as I've said before a re-cast Avon will make me switch off.

Either make the series with an entire new cast of Characters (with the exception of ORAC coz that would be the link between old and new) or just don't bother!

I would like to see a new series but I think a prequel would work much better as we know that Blake's original group of rebels had the Federation on the run until his capture.

I am not against a Preqel as none of the original cast could be used....and have said for a long while now that it would probably be the best idea!

I agree ORAC. In the crews past or as I've said before. a long way into the future with reference to the original crew in a folk-lore way, ie as our Robin Hood.
Otherwise........
DON'T BOTHER

I think both would work, a prequel would lead up to the events of the Way Back and a far off sequel would work because the original crew would be long dead.

I think a series/movie with none of the original characters would be okay if it were done well. It's the whole re-casting Avon thing that gets my goat.

I would like to know what happened on Gp though, was it all one big set up from the start or not? What happened to Avon? What happened to Orac? And where was Servalan?

I've just stumbled across the official website for the new B7 series. It looks reasonably flashy at first, but on close inspection you find there is little content. (Are we surprised?) I hadn't realised that B7E haven't actually secured the funds and they are looking to try and raise $5-6 million to make the show.

Surely they're having a laugh?
