I'll go with books, with TV a close second.

I've gone for books, but it's hard to choose really! The books, radio series and TV series all have their own little ways of getting the best out of their medium

I'm gonna have to agree with Futs comment about each medium having their unique slant. As I can only vote for one, I've gone for the TV version, just ahead of the books.

I listened to the radio series when it was first broadcast. For me that is and will always be the original and best. I think the books are quite good but the TV series was not so good. As for the film, so cheesy it positively pongs!

I like the TV version best; scenes such as with the bulldozer, with the vogon guard and landing on Magarathea are just classic.

It's a pity in the film, which I otherwise like, that Arthur and Slartibartfast were miscast, IMHO.

The fact that the BBC finished the entire series of books as a Radio Series has impressed me no end. I love the new ones and especially the last one. Well worth a listen.
