The main point I was trying to make is, that the last meeting felt like two separate meetings - rather than a single fun gathering of folks who share the love of B7, in particular.

That's probably because there were only four of us, and that would have been the same with or without the Sheffield group. And in fairness to them, you made no effort to talk with them or draw them in - they were the guests of us don't forget. I did chat with them, and a nice bunch they were too. I don't know if any of them are coming next time, but I hope so because, as others have said, the more the merrier.

Actually, we did have more conversation with one of the "SHEFFIELD" lot who we bumped into on the way back to the station.

I'm going to go with the more, the merrier too. It should be a big round of
fun, and people should feel free to bring spouses, significant others or
friends along. It sounds to me like if more B7ers had made it to the meet,
things would have been fine. Just luck of the draw this last time?

So, Artilla, are you going to make 17 June?

Sorry, Steve - that jaunt across the ocean isn't going to happen often
for me. I might try to make another in the next year, but no promises.

I'm with Messrs Rogerson, Seldon, Crewe and otherson the more the Merrier. The idea of these gatherings is to encourage like minded folk to mee up, and it is also a good way of getting people to join the forum. I've been to quite a few B7 cons where I've met people who were not aware of this forum so we've still got to spread the message

In the 80's we had 'wassock' and 'divy'.

As in 'that wassock Michael Grade is a right divy!'

If Brtistol is too big a city for our members in SW England, then how about Bath? There's a pub by where I work with a beer garden and a lovely view across the valley. Only downside is its a 15 min bus ride from the train station. (The bus station is across the road from the train station in Bath). The pub is called the Hare and Hounds and the No. 2 bus stops right outside it. For anyone coming by car it has a car park -( follow signs to Bath racecourse from M4 J18 but keep going for another 1.5 miles after the racecourse and its on the left)
