Simon, a thought has occured to me. There are a number of us here on the board who write our own B7 fiction - myself, Valentine, Inge and Mr Rogerson (who seems rather quiet of late) all dabble in this black art.

Would it be possible for a small area for those who wish to have their work published?

Good idea. Sure, we can do that. PG or tamer stories only though, no slash/adult stories at this stage.

This weekend, I'll work out the best way of presenting them. Some places display them on a standard page and others just allow you to download them as text files. As soon as I've worked out a method, I'll let you know how to send them in.

Cheers

Simon

Excellent! (rubs hands together!)

I'm sure there's a few more on the board who it might appeal to other than those I mentioned.

Non-slash Blake 7 fiction Is there such a thing

Seriously though it's a very good idea. I likewriting short stories though I've never written any fan fiction before.

'roach, there's loads of gen B7 fiction out there! My own stuff is decidedly gen although violent.

Personally, whilst I can appreciate that there's a market for it, I can't see the appeal for slash. Does nowt for me at all.

However, B7 fiction has to be violent. By it's very nature, a guerilla war against a toitallitarian superpower IS violent. Not necessarily graphic, but violent nonetheless.

Don't worry guys, I haven't forgotten this.

I've had a few thoughts on the submission of stories and probably the easiest way (at the moment) is just for you to send it to me in either a RTF file (rich text file) or just a standard plain text file.

I am suggesting these file types as I don't have much in the way of word processing software and its better that I get the story first time rather than emailing you back and forth.

- Plain text holds no information on text formatting, but it is usually the smallest of the two file types

- Rich text is ok if there is any special indenting or formatting. When I put it onto a page, I can try to keep the formatting if it looks like there is some.

Make sure when submitting the stories that the subject contains the words, "Fan Fiction Submission". That way I can spot them amongst any spam that I get (and I get quite a lot)

Cheers

Simon

Simon, you may get some of the smaller bits of my epic - the bits that can used as standalone pieces. Can you PM me with your email and I'll send some over the weekend?

I've just realised that now I've actually got to finish something...

There was a thread here somewhere:
"You know you are obsessed with B7 when:"

My latest addition to that is that I actually wrote a new episode in my sleep, then woke at 4am and tried to get it on paper.
Bit sad really, but when I actually typed it up on the computer today it wasn't too bad.
