Hello

Disappointed to see very little discussion of the new DVD's here. Anyway, just wondered if anyone had discovered any of the easter eggs?

Theres an easy one on DVD 2 on the episode selection, move down to the Main menu icon then move up and you'll see the Fed Symbol appear. If you select that, you'll get some stuff about The Keeper.

On Disc 4. This time in the scene selection screen. Go to the episode 3 scenes. Once its loaded, move the cursor to the immediate right and you'll find another Fed Symbol. It appears to be an interview with Brian Croucher.

When I saw this thread, I put the DVDs into my pc and had a quick look. I haven't watched the easter eggs properly.

I'm surprised too that there is virtually no talk of the DVDs - most odd.
Anyway - great set. Love the new CGI intro and the menus are extremely stylish - those who design the Dr Who DVDs should hang their heads in shame
Really enjoyed the Swap Shop interview especially as I watched it originally when I was 10! A real joy to see it again and the more recent 1991 interview. Matt's models was fascinating particularly as it confirmed that the definitive model was actually the one covered in bacteria for the Terminal episode. I always thought that they used one of the smaller models once the ship had become infected. Shame that only bits of it existed back in 1993.
One extra I thought they could have added was Ask Aspel from 1979 when Paul Darrow was the actor featured but whether it still exists or not in the archives is debatable.
There was also a 1978 Swap Shop where the definitive Liberator model was in the studio which I would have loved to have seen again.
June's costume feature was also very watchable - it was never possible to see how revealing Jackie's costume was in Pressure Point on grainy VHS but all is clear on DVD
Had a quick look at Redemption and the VT footage is very crisp - the best I've ever seen the series look but some of the film sequences haven't been cleaned up to the extent of the Dr Who releases sadly.
Overall, a great set and I'm pleased to see it selling so well (still in the top 30 over at Amazon - higher than any Dr Who dvd during the first week of release - are the Beeb bringing back the wrong cash cow? ).

I would love to see the 'Ask Aspel' with Paul Darrow again as one of my questions was read out. Well, it wasn't one of the questions that I sent in but it was attributed to me.

I haven't actually bought season two DVD yet.

As soon as I have it I shall launch into this discussion. It'll be nice to see the whole Star One fiasco in DVD quality!!!

These were posted on the Lysator list. I've watched all the disc two ones:

DISC ONE - No Easter Eggs

DISC TWO - Go to Scene Selection, select any episode, select episode one,
highlight the Federation logo.

DISC TWO - Go to Episode Selection, press down to the Main Menu, then press
up to highlight the Federation logo.

DISC TWO - Go to Settings, select Commentary On, wait for sixty seconds.

DISC THREE - No Easter Eggs

DISC FOUR - Go to Settings, select Subtitles On and Commentary On, wait for
sixty seconds.

DISC FOUR - Go to Episode Selection, select Main Menu, reselect Episode
Selection, press down then up to highlight the Federation logo.

DISC FOUR - Go to Scene Selection, select Episode Three, highlight the
Federation logo

DISC FIVE - No Easter Eggs

Same here! At least I've bought them, but they haven't arrived yet Still, when they do at least I know I'll have a couple of the cast signatures on the box

I'm broke at the moment and am going to wait until they go down in price as they did with the 1st series.
