Interesting, "Inga" that you find a fan site of someone in, SHEFFIELD - who, when I saw the photo of her I've, a very strange feeling that we've actually, met each other at a theatre seeing, PAUL in CHESTERFIELD, back in the mid 1980's.

Thanks for the correction Futsie, I knew there was a problem with the url, but I didn't realise it was because of the frames.

(And I did web development last year. Seems I didnt get all the concepts. ).

Not a good episode, but not a bad one either. The story was actually plausible, but the way it was written and the special effects made it hard to watch. The mad scientist being destroyed by his creation has been done before but that's no reason not to do it again. The story asks some moral question which we might have to address in the future.Do creatures created in the lab have rights? Souls? What if they have no intelligence? If scientists gave chickens limited intelligence would it be wrong to eat them?
It's interesting that Blake chose the side of the creations over the creators. It's also interesting that Blake gave up the power cells as soon as Avon's life was threatened.

This episode did mark the first time Avon would save Blake's life and Blake calling Avon his friend.Lots of plot holes and a rushed ending makes this story seem worst than it really was.Didn't understand this line though:

BLAKE At least the Decimas stand a chance now. You can't separate living creatures. Being alive involves them together

Interesting Blake quote you've picked up there thunda. I guess the sentiment is echoed in the next series in 'Weapon' when the clone masters and the Blake clone utter the immortal line 'All life is linked'.

I just don't like the episode The Web. I think it's got a good idea lurking there somewhere, but it's just a little too ham-fisted to be plausible. It feels like an episode used to pad out the series, leaving you waiting for Seek-Locate-Destroy and the introduction of Servalan!

It actually starts off pretty good, the sabotage of Liberator,Zen not cooperating,a little tension between Blake and Avon,Jenna realizing that's not Cally, the reaction of the crew towards Cally.her telepathically thanking Jenna. All in all well done,it's not until the low budget special effects kick in that it gets bad.

Also the script does deteriorate quite badly.

I think The Web's probably one of the earlier episodes written by Tel. It's his later ones like Timesquad or Bounty that were written in a hurry and rather skimpy.
