This is unbelievable! After all the problems with season one they pull the plug on us with just 3 weeks until the release date!

It's a sick joke.

I think Basil Fawlty's got a new job - running BBC Enterprises!

I've just visited the BBC Shop website - no mention of a delay yet but it does mention the 'Collectors Edition' version which I guess must be the one with the toy Liberator on the bubble pack. (Plus there is an iminent CD release of the audio plays.)

Having recently read about the changes to Star Wars in the impending DVD release -

http://www.darkhorizons.com/news04/040910c.php

myself and a colleague speculated that George Lucas should use his technical brilliance for a good purpose and stop mucking around ruining his movies further.

Hence we decided it would be a good idea to invite Mr Lucas to replace Travis II with Travis I in series 2 - I'm sure it would be a mere walk in the park for him.

And then I read about the DVD delay .... spooky!

Is it true?? Have the BBC betrayed us?

Seriously - can anyone confirm this delay? There is no mention of it anywhere else online and the Horizon website is absolutely rubbish.

Horizon are usually pretty good with the news though. I believe that the announcement came from one of their newsletters.

Surely with your powers, Sutekh, you'd be able to find out the truth.

Have a look over at BBCShop now it states 17/1/2005 as the release date for Series 2!

How can it get delayed by over 3 months? And why do we always find out at the last minute? They must have known for ages that they couldn't make that release date!

I wonder why the Beeb shop is still showing the collectors edition with an October release date? (The stadard edition says January.) Either they haven't bothered to update both pages or perhpas they are planning some sort of staggered release?? (Clutching at straws!)

Perhaps the delay is because they are having problems with the model liberator ?
