We once had a V2000 video recorder - Our family's first ever video recorder ( Which I ended up recording the 4th series of B7 on )

Thankfully, it came with a cartoon type video tape to show people just how to work it - it was a laugh watching it - and it helped !

Ahhh video recorders and B7. If only they'd hurried up with the technology then recorders could have been available at an affordable price sooner.

We got our first video recorder one week after the last episode of series 4 of B7. Talk about bad timing! Mind you, blank tapes were so expensive that we only got them for birthday or christmas presents.

I remember the momentous day when, for the first time ever, a blank three hour VHS tape dropped below 10. I was able to record most of season 4 because of that.

We got our first ever video (called KITT - well he had red lights didn't he!? ) for the repeats of Starsky and Hutch. Our trial run first ever recording was an episode of TJ Hooker......but don't hold that against us, we were excited and wanted to try it out.

I recall that you could tape over prerecorded VHS tapes if you covered over the tabs on them, in the same way you could, sorry-still can, with audio cassettes.

In answer to this above question it's a yes....
I've done this before but not recomeded as whenever you tape over VHS it tends to stretch hence the vision is poor quality etc. I taped over a movie & wanted to record another movie called Medusas Child a classic sci fi but it's warped & the screen goes blank. I tried to see if I was able to grab me copy on DVD thru Amazon.com but nothing.

Hi Futs !!! Wave

Been missing for ages I know but been busy here as.Since last posting (bout 18 months or more) Have been over to the U.S twice & again this year May /June met up with Jenna2 in '09.

Still in contact with Blakescrew & I have'nt heard from Valentine or Blacksheep.
Blacksheep has a new girlfriend & last I heard they were getting along well.

Seen some pics of both you & Blakscrew & you have'nt changed a bit!
Seen also some pics of Master of Cheese & the guitar collections are awsome! Saw you twanging away on one & in the background I saw my fav guitar wish I never sold mine..... Oh well....

I noticed that B7 has a new site? Not sure if it's related to this site or not but nonetheless Futs I signed up but like this one as I can still see & chat with some old friends. Miss the old gang.

More later.Gotta run it's my sisters birthday & my Niece is having a family get to gether at her home for dinner.

Futs glad to be here as awlways mate!!!
Hope all Forum members are ok I see we have new members?

Hello everyone. Just popping in here to introduce myself.

I've been a member on Horizon for a couple of years, but have recently met RichardWho on a number of location visits and also a theatre outing to see Steven Pacey last year.

I love Blake's 7, but have got to admit to being to young to have watched it when it first aired! I have my parents to thank for watching it and passing the bug for it on to me.

My favourite character is Tarrant, well, its the charm, curls and smiles really, but I won't bore you with all that! The most interesting character for me is Avon, the hidden depths of his nature and the dynamic between him and Blake.

Some of my other interests include gardening, wildlife, theatre, writing and music. I also enjoy watching Stargate SG-1, so I probably qualify as a fairly general sci-fi fan, but not exclusively. If it appeals to me I'll watch it, regardless of genre.

Will enjoy chatting to you all about all things B7 and maybe some not
