Tomb of the Cybermen sounds better on audio - you can use your imagination to conjure up big Cyber Tombs more than the visuals -I have both!

I like the Celestial Toymaker audio a lot but the surviving episode is ..er...somewhat less good!!

One of the things that seperates this play from the TV series is the use of a swear word - Dayna calls someone 'You b*****d!'. When you first hear it, it seems quite surprising - in the TV show Vila wasn't even allowed to say 'crap' in City at the Edge of the World!!

However if this was supposed to make it seem more adult, the other elements of this story worked against it!!

I have not heard the tapes but I have read the scripts.
They not really bad but not particularly good either.
I prefer Logic of Empire.

I still thinkof the Kaldor City CD's as B7 although they use more from the Doctor Who universe!!

I've heard 'The Syndeton Experiment' now and I like it. After reading Nicola Mody's comments on it (on the website I mentioned earlier) I also feel they should have got another actor to speak the part of the tourist guide rather than Michael Keating - just so the characters are easily recognisable from the voices.

The sound quality is so much better on CD than 'The Sevenfold Crown' I listened to on audio cassette.

It would be interesting to know if B7 got any new fans via the radio plays.

Listened to this one recently and as much as I enjoyed hearing familiar voices I was disappointed again.Although this was more of a science fiction story than The Sevenfold Crown,it still wasn't a Blake's 7 type episode.I'm not going to bother talking about the plot or all the new stuff that was introduced that was never mentioned in B7 before, but I would like to talk a little about the characters.Once again the writer failed to portray them as they were in the series. He seems to have a real dislike for Tarrant, who might be a lot of things but not stupid enough to leave his only means of communication and escape.Servalan serving dinner? Vila placing food above safety? And the scene with Tarrant and Soolin was laughable.Having Dayna stab Tarrant in anger seemed out of place considering how often they're paired together.Avon, well,at least he didn't say lines about ripping the throat out of a tiger.
