Kill the Dead - Tanith Lee

Dragonsong/Dragon Singer - Anne McCaffrey

The ORIGINAL (not the film version) of Neverending Story......can't remember the author

If I remember any others, I'll be back!

Avon, but apparently the other character was not based on Vila (seemed like Vila to me though). Even if they hadn't been based on these characters, the idea behind the book was still brilliant

Tanith said at Redemption when she was a guest that they were not based on Avon and Vila but on the actors Paul and Michael.

that's funny, in another interview somewhere - a long long time ago (back when I was a mere snip of a girl), I can't remember where now - she was the same person that said that it wasn't vila or michael but herself!

I'm confused now.

While Tolkien has probably been over exposed since the films came out, I can't think of a better fanatsy novel.

Haven't come across Kill the Dead, but from the synopsis on Amazon (and of course from the name of the author on the cover) it sounds like one to get hold of.

I always wonder why there aren't many/any Tanith Lee books in my local bookshop, considering her prolific output.

I discovered Tanith Lee a year or so before B7 started, and was delighted to find my favourite author had penned a script for my favourite programme, featuring largely my favourite characters-Avon and Cally. Read Storm Lord first, then Drinking Sapphire Wine-still re-reading it regularly- then the Birthgrave trilogy.

Tanith's site Tanithlee.com seems to be down at the moment. Any info on this?
