Please, do any of you know of a better / bigger image of a paragun than the image at this link http://www.waveney.demon.co.uk/Events/Collectors/PARAGUN1.jpeg?

Do any of you know of someone has made a CGI model of a paragun? Or of other Blake's 7 stuff?

(Google search for "paragun" drowns me in junk: some sort of real pistol; a fishing line knot; horses - even if I add an exclude term to stop it from thinking that I meant "paragon".)

I can't find a better picture, but I think if you look at the scene in "Rescue" where Vila almost trips over the pararifle he left on the floor, there might be a good view of it there...?

CGI = computer generated image: see

"Kevin in Chester": if that is Chester in Cheshire in England, I am near enough to him to contact him without email, if oine of you could possibly pass a message from me to him to get us 2 in contact.

"a CGI image of an handgun, but not an image of actual replica model of": either is acceptable, if reasonably accurate. If I get a copy of a CGI model, then well; else I could use photos of a paragun (an original prop or an accurate model) to make a CGI model. See http://www.buckrogers.demon.co.uk/3d/3dthumb.htm for various CGI models which I have made.

How many sorts of handheld guns do the Federation use? From when I saw the television series here in England, I only remember paraguns.

Please also, where are good close-up images of a Federation trooper, including from the sides and from back?

Well, they dont come any more accurate than his replica's; I'm sure Kevin would take close-up photos

The Paraguns were used predominantly in the 1st & 2nd Series, the Federation handgun or sidearm ( pictured above) appeared in afew 3rd series episodes - Aftermath & Molock to name two, Servalan also used a variant of a fed sidearm in the 4th series - Animals springs to mind

Anthony, you might want to head over to the Horizon Fan Club website as I think they're still selling copies of the Blake's 7 Technical Manual which includes accuratly sized diagrams of the Paragun's.

And in regards to your Google search - the term paragun was one invented for the novelisations done in the late 70's and never used in the series. This may have been why you got no results.

yep; I was going to suggest the very same thing Yes Smiley Kevin took the measurements from the Tech Manual, so you wouldn't go far wrong with those

Thanks for the paragun images. I have just used them to make a CGI .OBJ file model of a paragun. But again, please, how long is the paragun in inches or centimeters (ignoring the sliding stock)?
