I for the most part say "movie"......but sometimes say film....course I have been known to say "Flick"....

Nice observation there, Lib. However, if 'moving pictures' are distrubited to cinemas in the film medium (and I assume they still do this, though I don't really know), can the audience then be said to be watching a 'film' even though it is a film copy of a digital artefact?

This is getting too Heavy for me.....I just watch the ummm....visual
unfolding of a story ... that can be viewed on a screen or big box thingy..

Aha, no-one really knows do they, I think it's a mixture depending on what you see & from which studio it eminates (carefully chosen word).
