I would like to use the Mamma Mia film to find out how people are typically watching a new film today. I've seen it once, at home on DVD.

At the cinema. In Leicester Square. With a guy I really liked at the time. And his boyfriend. Who wanted to kill me.

Have no intention of ever watching it - it looks the most appalling pile of rubbish ever filmed -

It doesn't help that I hate Abba, too.

Have never seen it. Probably never will. Looks far too cheerful for my taste.

Julie Walters kind of makes her lack of singing talent funny. Not sure if Brosnan was in on the joke with his...er....unique vocal style.

It's strange really to have a film that is in effect one huge cover version.

The best way to watch is not to watch.

Understand, and you are liberated.

I have to admit I love Julie Walters. Although even that is not strong enough for a viewing of this.

If you like ABBA, it's a good soundtrack but the whole idea of the film is a bit odd because so much of it is disco music. I imagine the theatre production is better because the audience can dance wheras a cinema is by its nature more static. It's a bit like the way the movie version of Phantom of the Opera - though it was good - lost the theatre-within-a-theatre appeal of the stage show.

I think you're a grapefruit, but that's beside the point.

I prefer the Mamma Mia version of Gimme Gimme Gimme to the original. Though I liked it best when Madge sampled it in Hung up.
