I really enjoyed the new release with a back story about Travis and Avon, Anna Grant and Prof. Ensor.

Geoffrey Palmer is excellent as Ensor.

Another year gone by and still no sign of the continuation to Liberator promised for Spring 2009 in the trailer (When Vila Met Gan CD track 13). It looks like B7 Media apparently changed their minds and went for the Early Years prequels instead. I'm still hoping to hear about those 5 Liberators and their alien owners, someday!

I'm very surprised and pleased to see the B7 Audios in the BBC7 schedules for today and the next week. Hope the Early Years ones are unabridged.

Ta for pointing that out, Ron!
I'll just have a look at the site...

Parts 1 and 2 ("Rebel" and "Traitor") of the first of the new audios are coming up soon, but it doesn't list any broadcast times for the 3rd part ("Liberator").

And here's the schedule page for the upcoming "Early Years" episodes -

'Blakes 7 The Early Years - Point of No Return' is
on BBC 4 Extra today, 31/12/2011, at 18.00 (and 0.00 !).

"On the eve of a tense election, Major Travis is given an unexpected assignment. But can he trust the evidence? With Craig Kelly."

...and next week 'Flag and Flame'.

I was hoping you would do a more in depth review of the new B7 audio adventures, Steve, especially the Zen story. I found Escape Velocity to be pretty good, no not original B7 kind of good but enjoyable as a stand alone kind of prequel. It slightly explores what was touched upon in Space Fall that there's something out there more powerful than the Federation and the System. Also, I got a chill when Zen says "Have you betrayed us? Have you betrayed me?", so naturally I had to rewatach Blake a few times to hear the original lines spoken.

'Blakes 7: The Early Years. Zen: Escape Velocity' is
on BBC 4 Extra today at 18.00 (and midnight again); I've been looking forward to this hour long one, which I think might be the best.
