Do you think that the fourth series would have been better if Jan Chappel had returned as Cally, or did you prefer the introduction of Soolin? |

I think Cally's potential was pretty much used up by season 4. Soolin was a strong character who was better able to stand up to Avon. |

I agree with Roach, the introduction of Soolin was a much needed breath of fresh air. Not that I disliked Cally, but the possibility of yet another alien take-over or two through her telepathy could have spelled curtains for the crew. _________________ As I was saying, we all have to learn to live with disappointment |

BLAKESCREWE why is the table lifting up? Personally I feel shouldn't have created a character which was quite similar to Dayna, who was a woman who liked to be involved with guns. Introducing Soolin who loved to be invloved with guns also made the show lose some potential in terms of being able to develop Dayna. e.g. Dayna could have been used to object to some of Cally's more pacifist views therefore introducing a less comfortable atmosphere to scropio. I feel when Dayna had finished straggling Clegg her character went to the dogs and was just bitten to death slowly. Soolin was introduced because Dayna's develpoment had not been carried out properly in series 3. _________________ "No matter where you are... everyone is always connected." Lain Iwakura |

Avon needed someone who, if not his intellectual equal, was at least as intelligent as he was. Tarrant was not his equal in that way, which was why they were constantly at odds.
Clearly Soolin was very intelligent and pragmatic as Avon was. She was able to stand up to his more radical schemes and support him when he needed it. She said that she didn't give her allegiance, she sold her skills, but she ended up being loyal to Avon right up to the end at GP. |

Not that we know of. Soolin may have been her first name, last name, a nickname or even an alias. |

I'd choose Soolin over any of the other B7 cast any day! She had a very cute smile (see the out takes on Season 4). |
