It sets the scene for "Blake" very well though. |

Warlord was one of my favorite episodes.
There were some random glitches though.
If I were writing a fanzine version would have
changed a few things; all told it was really interesting.
When Avon allowed Tarrant down to the base to
fetch Ziona,do not believe Avon knew she had perished.
Avon had loved and lost. He was not a total cynic...
Heard Paul mention the special effects on that episode were
dangerous for he an Glynnis. He was angry about this. |

Intriguing. Does anyone have more information about this? _________________ As I was saying, we all have to learn to live with disappointment |

Paul told me when he and Glynnis were running down the mountain
one of the effects blew up in a way that was ill timed or not? Blew up
right in their faces. I am going to re:watch this episode n jog my brain.
Not saying anyone was trying a deliberate accident; the effects became
more important than the actors n that's not right. It was fimed at a salt
flat where some other episodes of B7 and I think Dr.Who as well used
for filming........
Sheelagh Wells said the clay there got into everyone's shoes n it was
difficult walking . I can imagine what fun it was for Paul n Glynnis to
outrun special effects screw ups in that muck. |

It didn't look easy even without the screwups.
PD doing his own stunts got him hurt in Assasin. Apparently he hurt himself when he was running away from the pirates and fell, injuring his hip. |

I did not know Paul was injured in Assasin.
That was a rough scene. Paul has a bad back.
Tried to move a storage chest in the attic of his
former house in Surrey...Yeowch!

I can relate to that, having a bad back since my 20's after I fell down the stairs in my townhouse.
It doesn't get better with age either.
I think PD said he enjoyed doing the stunt work at the time but regretted it later. |

I had heard he did his own stunts but I wasn't aware he got hurt in any of them. He took quite a few falls during the series. |

Paul joked about doing his own stunts.
The only one he seemed angry about was Warlord.
He said the one scene blew up in his and Glynnis faces.
You can see the dirt spurting up in that scene.
Personally do not think an actor should be endangered. |

I agree.
There was an accident on the set of a Hollywood movie some years ago where a helicopter stunt went wrong and killed the lead actor and a couple of young children.
Very tragic. |

The actor was Vic Morrow
He was a close friend of Leonard Nimoy. |

Very sad.
I'm all for special effects but the story and its characters should be the most important aspect of any medium. |

I can't remember which episode it was, but Paul said that they had to run through a field with explosives, David Jackson said he would catch Paul, which he did. Both Paul and Gareth said that it could have gone wrong very easily, as they only needed to run too fast or trip and they could have been hurt badly. _________________ Well now, you know you can trust me!!! |
