The Liberator follows a Federation Freighter to the planet Horizon and Blake teleports down with Jenna to investigate. They are caught by natives along with Vila, Gan and Cally shortly after. They are sent to work in the local mines. Blake talks to the Chief native, Ro, who is shocked by his revelations regarding the Federation. Avon meanwhile, alone aboard the Liberator considers his fate should none of the crew members return to the ship. Pursuit ships arrive and Avon teleports down to rescue the others. The Federation Kommissar is killed and Ro is left to reunite his people, no longer under the influence of Federation rule.
