Avon is a mature, intelligent man. He has dark features and impeccable dress sense. Brought up as an Alpha grade he is used to privileged lifestyle. He is a computer genius and he is proud of his talent. He attempted the biggest bank fraud ever known to the Federation. He claims it failed due to him relying on other people. He escaped a prison planet by joining Blake on the Liberator. Despite many occasions when Avon wanted to leave the rebels, he remained loyal. Blake showed respect for Avon and admitted to trusting him which is something Avon was surprised about. After the death of his one true love, Anna, he cares only for himself and trusts nobody. No-one is his equal. He admires Servalan. They are atrracted to each other but there can be no trust between them. He hates Tarrant as he is a threat to Avon's ownership of the Liberator. He will not tolerate his arrogance and will support his fellow rebels if it means opposing Tarrant.
